ตัวอุปกรณ์มีรัศมีในการตรวจจับที่ 12m. กว้าง 90° พร้อมด้วยเทคโนโลยี Double Conductive Shielding ที่สามารถขจัดปัญหาการรบกวนจากแสงแดด ซึ่งเป็นปัจจัยสำคัญที่ทำให้เกิด False alarm ในการติดตั้งระบบตรวจจับการเคลื่อนไหวภายนอก ทำให้ VX-402REC เป็นหนึ่งในอุปกรณ์ที่สามารถได้ในหลายๆพื้นที่ได้อย่างมีเสถียรภาพ
VX-402REC มาพร้อมกับคุณสมบัติในการบันทึก/แจ้งเตือน เมื่อมีการเคลื่อนไหวในพื้นที่ที่กำหนด จึงเหมาะต่อการออกแบบ สำหรับผู้ที่ต้องการประกาศแจ้งเตือนผู้บุกรุกให้ทราบว่า ในพื้นที่มีระบบป้องกันการบุกรุก เพื่อให้ผู้บุกรุกหนีไป ก่อนที่จะมีการแจ้งเตือนจริง
