BX-80N เป็นอุปกรณ์ตรวจจับการเคลื่อนไหวภายนอกชนิด PIR (Passive Infrared) ที่มีระยะตรวจจับที่ 24 เมตร (ด้านละ 12 เมตร) เป็นมุมแคบ จึงเหมาะกับบ้านที่มีแนวยาวและมีกระจกหรือหน้าต่างอยู่เป็นจำนวนมาก ผลลัพท์ที่ได้คือการที่สามารถป้องกันผู้บุกรุก ไม่ให้เข้าประชิดที่ตัวบ้านได้ และด้วยคุณสมบัติในการแยกขนาดของวัตถุ ทำให้มีโอกาสการเกิดFalse alarm ที่ต่ำมาก
